Teen Mental Health: Providing Accessible Support for Teenage Well-being

Supporting good mental health for teens

Learn to Live is dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of teenagers. We offer accessible online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) programs, providing them with confidential and judgement-free help from the comfort of home. Our platform’s evidence-based approach has been shown to be effective in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, substance use, and more in adolescents.

The Current Crisis in Youth Mental Health

According to CDC data, nearly all measures of poor mental health for adolescents increased precipitously between 2011 and 2021, including a 50% increase in persistent feelings of sadness and a 25% increase in suicide attempts.

The teen mental health crisis has devastating impacts on public health, well-being, and economic and educational equity. Poor mental health is also highly correlated with other health and development concerns in young people, notably lower educational achievements, substance use, violence, and poor reproductive and sexual health.

Partnering with Girls Inc. to Tackle the Teen Mental Health Epidemic

Mental health problems facing teenage girls and young women have grown alarmingly over the past decade. A recent CDC study found that 57% of female high school students experienced persistent feelings of sadness and hopelessness in 2021 – a nearly 60% increase from a decade ago and nearly twice the rate of male students.

Learn to Live has partnered with Girls Inc., the preeminent girls’ leadership organization, to make clinically proven mental health services available free to its 55,000 female participants aged 13 and above across the U.S. and Canada. Together, we are ensuring their voices are heard, their needs are met, and their potential is unleashed.

“At Girls Inc. we know how important mental well-being is to our participants – to nurture their resiliency, self-worth, and capacity to thrive. We are grateful to Learn to Live for providing this valuable programming. Together, we can champion the mental health of our girls and young women, ensuring their voices are heard, their needs are met, and their potential is unleashed."
